An unemployed South African grandmother in her mid-50s has won a massive R25million (Ghc8,5million) in the country's lotto jackpot.
The granny, who is based in the Gauteng province but whose identity has been withheld, spent only R20 (Ghc7) in the draw.
In an interview with Times Live, she said she couldn't believe her eyes and ears when her winning numbers were announced on August 23.
She added that she intends to build a big house for her family so her grandchildren can have a big yard to play in. She also hopes to leave a legacy.
She said: “This whole thing feels so surreal‚ never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be the winner of R25million (Ghc8,5m).”

Ithuba National Lottery will offer the new multimillionaire investment advice as well as counseling on how to handle her newfound fortune.
Ithuba spokesperson Gopolang Some said: “Unfortunately we can’t reveal the identity of the winner but we have met with her and she seemed very excited.
"She will be provided counselling and further financial advice to help her deal with this life-changing experience.”
