An aspirant for the position of organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Region, Nathaniel Tetteh Bossah has warned that the actions of Kennedy Agyapong could prove to be damaging to the party going into the 2020 elections.
His comments were in relation to accusations made against the two deputy Chiefs of Staff by the Assin Central MP, in which he described the pair as “corrupt”.
The maverick lawmaker has in recent times been on the neck of some government officials, and his actions appear not to have sat well with the aspiring Greater Accra organiser.
“Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and his cohorts are the kind of people the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, talked about at the NPP national delegates’ conference at Cape Coast in the Central Region, that he would not allow any such saboteurs to capsize his boat since he is the captain,” Bossah said.
He added that if Kennedy Agyapong should continue with his actions against members of the NPP, then the party’s bid to retain power in the 2020 elections could be in serious jeopardy.
According to him the MP should rather be helping unify the NPP than targeting its members for attacks.
He indicated that it was better to resolve issues through the party hierarchy than dealing with issues in the open.
