- All BECE candidates who failed in Maths and Science are to resit their papers
- The computer selection process has been stepped up with a new website by WAEC
The Ghana Education Service (GES) says all BECE candidates who failed their Maths and Science papers will have to resit their papers before getting placement into the senior high school.
So far, a little over 36,000 candidates have failed their papers with thousand others who passed with good to average grades having issues getting placement.
“Students who did resits are part of the students going to school this year. If you don’t get in you have an opportunity to resit and be part of the students placed next year” Deputy education minister, Yaw Osei Adutwum has revealed.
Checks by YEN indicate that most BECE candidates are either not getting the schools of their choice or not being placed at all despite scoring good or average grades in the just ended BECE.
It is against this backdrop that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched what it terms to be a new and efficient CSSPS website which will solely take care of all the placements of candidates.
All candidates are to log on to www.cssps.gov.gh for their placement by first imputing their index numbers and other relevant information.
