Popular songstress, Mzbel, has commented on how the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) loss to the now ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the 2016 elections disappointed her.
According to Mzbel, National Democratic Congress's loss at the 2016 December elections had disappointed her very much, something many Ghanaians readily expected since Mzbel had openly advocated for the opposition party.
Speaking in an interview with KOD on the zone, Mzbel added that the announcement that then candidate Nana Akufo Addo had won the elections also had such an affect on former President John Dramani Mahama that he lost weight.

She said:"Well, I was very disappointed when NDC lost, President Mahama looked okay although I realized he had lost a lot of weight, he said that was the choice of the people and he was okay with it".
The National Democratic Congress's 2016 loss also had more severe consequences on Mzbel, as some statements she made during the campaign season came back to haunt her when New Patriotic Party supporters besieged her home and demanded that she publicly recant negative comments she allegedly made against then President Elect, Nana Akufo Addo.
