Popular legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has stated that as long as TV personality Afia Schwarzenegger and Mr. Lawrence Abrokwah's marriage is an ordinance one, it cannot be dissolved by "word of mouth".

Speaking on Afia Schwarzenegger's comments to the effect that her marriage to Lawrence Abrokwah is over, Mr. Maurice Ampaw stated that the popular comedian is mistaken.
"I told her that once they had ordinance marriage, she cannot by word of mouth or sending drinks of the man to the man’s family, dissolve the marriage. That is not the right process for dissolving ordinance marriage." Said Mr. Ampaw.

Mr. Maurice Ampaw, who happens to be Mr. Lawrence Abrokwah's lawyer, related that he attempted to mediate between Mr. Abrokwah and Afia Schwarzenegger in order to solve the issue "amicably behind the scenes" but that Afia Schwarzenegger would not have it.
According to the private legal practitioner, Mr. Lawrence Abrokwah called the legal practitioner to his [Abrokwah] defense after Afia Schwarzenegger reported the incident to the Achimota Police Station.

Mr. Abrokwah's was subsequently invited to answer questions by the police, and that it was at that time Mr. Abrokwah called his lawyer [Maurice Ampaw] to come to his Defense.
"It was at that point that the husband called me to come to his defence. So I went to Achimota police station. The husband showed the scandalous sexual video to the police and showed me a copy. Yes, I saw it with my naked eyes!" Said Mr. Ampaw.
Maurice Ampaw also stated that Afia Schwarzenegger's also sent a copy of the video to her father.
