The computer school selection and placement system (CSSPS) of the Ghana Education Service (GES) keeps giving BECE candidates a hell lot of frustration as many continue to get placement to schools they barely have an idea about.
Story of a candidate, Akuramaa Berlinda, shook the news when it turned out that she had been posted to the Mampong Akuapem School for the Deaf even though she has no hearing impairments.
“I have been posted to Mampong Akuapem Senior High Technical School and I don’t have any hearing challenge, I came here for them to change it but nobody from the CSSPS is responding to my concerns”, she lamented to the media.
The case of Berlinda is no different as other candidates have also been posted to the school of the blind. In fact, one story YEN heard of was about a male candidate who was posted to Aburi Girls as his placement.
Meanwhile, the GES through the education minister has revealed its intention to extend the deadline for the placement of schools as various anomalies continue to rock the newly established website meant for the placement of schools.
