The leader and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei better known as Prophet Kumchacha on last Friday nearly pummeled reggae musician, Ekow Micah to pulp at the studios of Atinka Media Village in Accra.
The self-styled Prophet who was angry to the core pushed his bible aside and threw all cautions and decorum to the wind as he waged attacks on the reggae star.
It took the intervention of some staff members and other visitors who had gone to Atinka FM to transact businesses to avert what could have been a free bout between the two.
The near-physical assault followed a heated argument on Atinka FM’s mid-morning show on Friday hosted by one Roman Fada.
The two gentlemen had reported as guests on the show to take part in a regular discussion when tempers flared up.
The heated confrontations was sparked by claims made by Ekow Micah that there was no evidence in the bible to back claims that God abhors the smoking of marijuana.
The popular reggae singer had earlier in his biblical accounts argued that, even the Almighty God once smoked marijuana, though he did not provide much evidence to his claims.
The reggae musician’s biblical accounts and his link of God to marijuana shocked the self-styled Prophet, which pushed him to accuse the musician off engaging in blasphemy.
The angry ‘man of God’ then labeled Ekow Micah as a mad person who needs psychiatric evaluation.
"He needs a psychological treatment at the mental hospital, if he doesn’t take care, God will kill him. He’s a dead man walking,” the prophet fumed.
The musician also fired back at Kumchacha, insisting that he is a false prophet’.
“Don’t mind Kumchacha; he is a false prophet. Indeed, all so-called men of God are false prophets,” Ekow Micah shot back at him, which sparked tension.
The two gentlemen further traded insults on the live show and even continued after leaving the studios which nearly resorted in open brawl.
