- This comes after his superb performances this term for the Reds
- The Senegalese star was fantastic in his side's win over Arsenal
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has been named the Premier League player of the month of August following his superb performances for the Anfield club.
After recuperating from a career threatened injury which ruled him out last season, the Senegalese star has found his rhythm this season.
Mane has scored twice this term for Jurgen Klopp's men who suffered one of their heaviest defeat at the Etihad stadium on Saturday.
He scored a superb goal which helped Liverpool secure a 3-3 draw against Watford, and he was also on target as Liverpool decimated Arsenal in their last tie.
The 25-year-old African star is expected to prove himself again on Sunday, September 10 as Manchester City will host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth defender Charlie Daniels has won the carling goal of the month of August after scoring a powerful goal against Manchester City.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner has also been awarded August Premier League Manager of the Month.
