Bibiana Steinhaus on Sunday, September 10, 2017 registered her name in the football history books by becoming the first woman to referee in European League.
The police officer achieved this success during the German Bundesliga encounter between Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen.
Steinhaus' performance got the stamp of approval from Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery after the match at Olympiastadion.
"Congratulations on the first game in the Bundesliga, #Good_job," the French professional footballer said.
