- Frances Carpenter was a fast food addict
- She gained a lot of weight and once weighed a whopping 152kg
- She has shed a massive 63kg in a dramatic transformation
A 28-year-old woman who was a fast food addict is now almost unrecognizable from her former self after shedding a dramatic 63kg in weight.
Frances Carpenter, from California in the US, weighed a whopping 152kg when she was 25 years old.
She decided to change her reliance on takeaway food after seeing several of her family members succumb to weight-related illnesses.
In an interview with Daily Mirror, she said: "I just did not want that to be me." She couldn't afford weight loss surgery and had no choice but to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Frances maintained a high level of discipline with her healthy diets and workout routines. Before long, she saw the results.
She said: "I started eating a low carb/high fat diet and worked out twice a day, five days a week. I would go to the gym before work at 5am then again after work at 5pm, I did mostly cardio because that was the only thing I knew how to do."
She said she now feels much more confident about herself. She actively shares her story on Instagram, where she has more than 50,000 followers, in the hope of inspiring others.
