- Chelsea on Tuesday night defeated Qarabag FK 6-0 at Stamford Bridge
- The match was their first of the 2017/18 Champions League
- Last season, Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League competition
Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea on Tuesday night, September 12, made a superb return to the UEFA Champions League after beating visiting Qarabag FK 6-0.
The Blues missed the championship last year after their failure to finish among the top four teams, but they did themselves lots of good last season by winning the League title.
Antonio Conte's men started the match impressively at Stamford Bridge, and took them only five minutes to find the back of the net when Pedro Rodriquez scored the first goal.
Davide Zappacosta netted the second goal for Chelsea in the 30th minute after being set up by Brazilian star Willian.
The visitors failed to produce any finesse at Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte's men taught them a good football lesson.
Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas produced an astonishing pass in the 55th minute for Cesar Azpilicueta to score the third goal for the London-based club.
Goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko and Michy Batshuayi in the 71st, 76th and 82nd minutes condemned Qarabag to a 6-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
