Speaking in a phone interview with the Adom FM, the father of the young Rastafarian was ‘up in arms’ questioning the decision of the school in denying her young daughter who had been admitted on the Free SHS program to study Science.

He added that the Headmistress had been ‘locked up’ in her office since yesterday and refusing to meet with him to discuss his daughter’s ‘plight’. He further revealed that according to the Rastafarian religion, the dreadlocks that they sported was not to be cut and he was not going to make his daughter’s case an exception.

He said that they would consider wrapping the hair or keep it tucked away but his daughter deserved the right to education like any other child from the other religions.

He stood his ground on the dreadlocks and insinuated that the decision that wanted to be taken by the school was a result of sheer ignorance about Rastafarianism.
