Professor Kwesi Yankah, the Minister of State in charge of tertiary education has composed a very compelling song in promotion of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), flagship programme Free Senior High School education.
According to Prof. Yankah he was inspired by President Akufo-Addo’s enthusiasm in contributing his quota to the development of his nation.
The former Central University Vice Chancellor said he wrote the title song in support of the policy and was composed by Varrick Armah who put together the popular gospel tune Oye.
The stanzas and versus of the song is to inspire and encourage every Ghanaian parents to ride on the Free SHS train.
The song in part also encourages all Ghanaian children to discover the best in them through the freedom to education.
Parts of the creative song also appears to be rallying all Ghanaian parents to wake up and wipe their tears with the assurance that Free SHS has come to stay in Ghana.
