- Ranga says Mosir goes crazy without her
An elderly Bangladeshi couple who have been married for 75 years have celebrated their enduring love.
Mosir Uddin Sarder, 105, and his wife Ranga Bou, 87, told their story to photojournalist GMB Akash, who then shared it on his Facebook page.
Ranga said: "I was 12 years old when I got married to him. I still remember. He came with a horse cart to marry me. No one got married in my entire village with horse cart. I was so happy and proud!"
Mosir nicknamed her "Ranga Bou," which means "beautiful wife." She said he goes crazy without her.
She concluded: "Maybe we will not see each other much longer. We are almost near our last age! I don't want to go before him. He will become crazy without me. He will look for his Ranga Bou everywhere! My wish is for God to take me after him!"
Their story has gone viral and has touched many commenters. While many praised their love, some questioned why he married her when she was so young. See some reactions below.
