- Real Madrid climbed up to fourth place on La Liga standing with a win over Real Sociedad
- Borjal Mayoral had a hand on two Real Madrid goal in 3 - 1 win at the Anoeta stadium
- Under-pressure Gareth Bale scored a stunning third as Zidane side returned to winning ways
Real Madrid arrested a run of two La Liga games without a win when they defeated Real Sociedad 3 - 1 at the Anoeta stadium on Sunday night.
Youngster Borja Maryoral put Zinedine Zidane's men ahead midway through the first half with a volley inside the box after stealing the ball from Sergio Ramos.
The goal means Real Madrid have scored in each of their last 73 games (all comps), equaling Pele's Santos' record between 1961 and 1963.
The home side scored the equalizer via Kevin Rodrigues who scored a stunning volley from a lofted cross from Odriozola from the right.
The ball trickled under the arm of Keylor Navas who could have done better with the shot.
Madrid put themselves ahead when Mayoral forced an own goal by goal scorer Rodrigues who was sprinting back after hitting the woodwork.
Mayoral shook off his marker before flying into the box and cutting a pass across the face of goal, where it was accidentally poked into the back of the net by Rodrigues.
Madrid would get the third goal through Bale who beat his marker for pace on the right to lob over Rulli in goal.
The win takes Real Madrid to fourth place behind leaders Barcelona, Sevilla in second and Sociedad in third.
