A three-month-old toddler who was born deaf heard her mother’s voice for the very first time and her reaction was simply processes.
The cute little Lexi Daniella, nicknamed ‘Dani’, seemed confused when she heard her mother calling her 'pretty girl', the sparked an contagious smile in reaction to the strange experience.
“It was an exciting moment when the hearing aids arrived. Seeing her smile and respond to my voice was simply incredible,” says Dani’s mother, Francisca, from Virginia, US.
Dani, according to her mum, has not been able to hear voices since she was born. She lost her hearing ability as a result of what doctors said was fluid build-up in her heard.
Her parents were forced to start teaching her sign language. But there is hope that she will be able to hear just like any other person.
“Dani will be able to get the Cochlear implant in order to hear speech at a normal level in near future,” says her optimistic mother.
The family was reportedly overwhelmed with joy when they saw how Dani reacted to her mother’s voice. They couldn't hold back their tears.
