- Barcelona are monitoring progress of Liverpool's Saido Mane this season
- The Catalans will, however, face competition from Real Madrid and Juventus
- The attempt to sign Mane has nothing to do with the botched bid to sign Coutinho
- Mane scored 13 league goals last season and has three this season
Liverpool are bracing themselves for another transfer tussle with Barcelona, this time over Sadio Mane with the Catalans believed to be eyeing the talented and pacy winger.
The Reds refused to sell Brazilian star Coutinho despite the Spanish side offering as much as £138m with as many as four bids which were all rejected.
The Sun reports that the Spanish giants will rock the Reds again after "Mane hit their radar following his explosive start to the season."
The 25-year-old has already scored three goals this campaign adding to the 13 league goals scored last season after arriving in a £34m deal from Southampton in 2016.
Barcelona are monitoring the Senegalese's development alongside Real Madrid and Juventus.
It was reported that after Barcelona reached an impasse in their attempts to sign Coutinho, there is a feeling they may have more success if they turn their attention to Mane.
Barcelona are believed to be preparing a deal to sign Mane next summer.
