- The Brazil football icon took out time to sign autographs for his devoted fans waiting for him at the airport
All does not look too good for Brazilian football legend Pele after he was pictured in a wheelchair signing autographs for fans at the JFK Airport in New York.
According to The Sun, the football icon caught the attention of many fans at the airport as he was seen pushed in a wheelchair.
However, that did not stop him from signing autographs of devoted fans who rushed to see him as he made his way back through the airport after attending an event in New York City during Fashion Week.
The retired footballer had a heavily armed security guard all by the side to ensure his safety as fans rushed for autographs.
But his state of health comes as a surprise to many as he was recently spotted looking sharp at the GQ men of the year awards 2017 ceremony where he was honoured for his inspirational works.
Pele decided to hang up his boots in 1977 as he ended his career with a remarkable record of 1,281 goals in 2,363 games.
