- Police arrested her and the man they describe as her real husband
A 32-year-old woman in Thailand reportedly married 11 men in two years and defrauded them of their money.
Dubbed "runaway bride," Jariyaporn Buayai convinced the men to marry her and as per Thai tradition, they paid her dowries of between $6,000 (Ghc25,6k) and $30,000 (Ghc25,6m).
After receiving dowry, she vanished using several excuses such as she had to return to her family to deal with their fruit business.
She was so prolific that she married four men in the month of August alone. She was finally exposed when a Facebook warning about her went viral.
According to local reports, her method involved sending a man a friend request on Facebook, meeting him and getting intimate with him. She then marries him and then takes off with the money.
