Information available to YEN suggests that the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), spent another GHc79 million on pocket diaries.
It is further alleged that the arrangement for the diaries was finalized in 2016.
SSNIT was recently in the news as a result of $72 million dollar software deal.
According to Adom FM’s morning show host, Captain Smart, another GHc477 million was doled out by SSNIT as loans to eight companies in Ghana. The Trust is yet to retrieve the money.
He added that the collaterals presented by the said companies were not valued, and as such there is no indication of value for money with regard to those loans.
