- Barcelona players show their support for injured teammate Ousmane Dembele
- The pacy winger sustained a hamstring injury in Barcelona 2-1 victory over Getafe
- Messi is currently La Liga's highest goalscorer with nine goals from five matches
Barcelona's players showed their support for record signing Ousmane Dembele ahead of their clash with Eibar.
The pacy French winger, who joined Blaugrana from Dortmund in the summer, has been ruled out for up to four months after sustaining hamstring surgery.
Dembele pulled up after just half an hour during his first La Liga start against Getafe on Saturday September 17.
He underwent successful surgery on Tuesday, September 19, and is tipped to return in action early 2018.
Ernesto Valverde's squad honoured the player ahead of their La Liga encounter with t-shirts reading 'Courage Dembele'.
Discussing his player's injury, Valverde said: "He's a player who has never had muscle problems in the past, so perhaps he doesn't have the experience to recognise problems which could become worse.
"Because he's a fast player, it's the movement he made which was the worst thing for the muscle.
"Maybe a more experienced player would have known not to make that movement."
Barcelona next match will be a La Liga away tie against newly-promoted side Girona on Saturday, Sepetember 23, a game which Messi will hope to continue his fine run into the season that has seen him score nine goals from five games.
