A pastor has found himself at the wrong side of the law after he attacked his former girlfriend over suspicions of cheating.
YEN.com.gh has gathered that Kingsford Ansah, a resident of Russia in Accra, had been in a relationship with a Sukura-based caterer, Jacklyn Gamo in the last 10 years and they have a daughter together.
Earlier this year, he accused Madam Gamo of cheating and called off the relationship while also refusing to provide for their five-year-old daughter.
But since the breakup, Pastor Ansah has been tormenting his ex-girlfriend whenever the two meet.
In May, he allegedly punched Madam Gamo on the mouth without any provocation and bolted when he found her a friend’s car in front of her house.
Two months after, the pastor reportedly went to Madam Gamo’s house to pick their daughter, but it ended in a fight becuase she [Gamo] told him to come back the following week.
Before leaving the house that day, Ansah called a co-tenant on phone to ask her to inform Madam Gamo that because of what she did to him, he would pour acid on her or break her legs anytime he saw her.
To make good of his threat, Ansah on September 12, this year, sneaked into Madam Gamo’s room and used a pair of scissors to cut the complainant’s dresses, and wax prints, estimated to be about GH¢1,000.
While in the room, someone entered her room and thinking that it was Gamo, he pounced on her only to realise that it was rather a friend of hers.
Gamo’s friend raised an alarm and Ansah was apprehended and sent to the Accra Central Police Station.
He was charged with causing unlawful damage, assault and threat of harm and subsequently arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢60,000.00 with two sureties.
He is to reappear on October 2.
