- Neymar and Edison Cavani are no longer in good terms after their bust-up on the field
- The two players had a confrontation on who would take a penalty in PSG's win over Lyon
- It is understood that Neymar has told PSG to sell his teammate
- Cavani scored 49 times for the club last season and has already bagged nine times this term
There is tension in the PSG dressing room with reports claiming Neymar and Edison Cavani are avoiding each other following their dispute in last weekend's 2 - 0 win over Lyon.
The win was, however, marred with two separate incidents involving two of the club's attackers.
The first incident came when Dani Alves refused to hand Cavani the ball to take a free-kick instead giving it to his country man Neymar to take.
However, Neymar's attempt was punched behind as the Paris club chased the game.
The second came when Cavani refused to hand Neymar the ball for a penalty with the Uruguayan succeeding this time but his effort was also saved.
L’Equipe report that tensions rose further in the dressing room post-game when the Uruguayan confronted the Brazilian after he left the field immediately after the full-time whistle, not joining the rest of his teammates in saluting the club’s supporters.
Cavani waited in the dressing room for his teammates to arrive, and then confronted Neymar in his tracks telling him he was unhappy with the players attitude in Spanish.
Neymar responded, Cavani stood up then club captain Thiago Silva and Marquinhos stepped in before the matter escalated.
Thereafter the striker showered and left within 20 minutes of the final whistle.
Reports now claim Neymar has told PSG he cannot work with Cavani and to sell him but the club will not sell in January as he is cup tied in the Champions League.
Cavani signed an extension in the French capital five months ago, tying him to the Parc des Princes until 2020.
