- He is still strong and energetic and hopes to live to 200 years
At a whopping 108 years old, Sefatia Kyirongero is still remarkably strong and energetic.
The centenarian, who hails from Busowobi Village in Nakigo Sub-county, Iganga District, Uganda, told Daily Monitor that he aspires to live beyond 200 years.
He added that he has never fallen sick in the last 55 years thanks to his use of herbs and wild plants.
His diet includes traditional foods such as potatoes, cassava, maize, yams, vegetables and wild fruits.
He was pictured working energetically on his farm. Asked about his age, he said: “I was born on September 3, 1909 - during the reign of chief Nsobani.”
Kyirongero added: “I am still strong and I don’t see why I should remain seated at home. Digging helps me remain healthy and physically fit."
He is a father of seven children and 30 grandchildren. His two wives passed away 28 years ago.
