Premier League club Arsenal have joined Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the race to sign German midfielder Leon Goretzka in January 2018.
Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger has identified the 22-year-old Schalke star as a good potential that will help his squad next year in their fight to finish among the top four teams in England.
But Arsenal will have to go to Germany with a mega deal considering the fact that Leon Goretzka is interested in a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
According to media reports, the player wants to play with Argentinian forward Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
Goretzka has emerged as one of Germany’s biggest midfield talents and interest could soar during the World Cup next summer.
Schalke finished 10th in the Bundesliga last season and they know that if they miss the Champions League again, Goretzka will want to test himself against Europe’s best.
