Daughter of Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah, has decried what she claims to be the sell-out of the very party her father sacrificed his life to build.

Sharing her thoughts on the Founder's Day celebrations which has been rebranded to Nkrumah's Memorial Day, Samia Nkrumah makes the case that the Conventions People's Party (CPP) has now been sold out to persons who have personal interests in promoting their own agenda rather than that of Dr. Nkrumah.

According to Samia Nkrumah, some forces within the NDC have hijacked the party and also left it to remain irrelevant to the political dispensation of the country.

Meanwhile, the CPP has held a fierce press confab jabbing the NPP administration for its choice of seeking a legislative instrument to change the Founder's Day celebration to Nkrumah Memorial Day. The CPP believes this is a secret plot by government to wipe out the contributions of the party to Ghana's independence.
