Ace journalist and known critic of former President Jerry John Rawlings, Malik Abdul Kweku Baako, has disclosed that he has not interacted with Rawlings for about 38 years.
Speaking with Peace FM’s Kwame Sefa-Kayi, the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide said he and the former president have not met or spoken since 1979.
According to him, their last encounter was when he (Kweku Baako) called on Rawlings at his Sankara residence, following the handing over of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC).
Mr. Baako has long been vocal about his dislike for the political ideologies espoused by Former President Rawlings.
He has noted that while Rawlings as an individual has a ‘fantastic personality’, his political activities leave much to be desired and further stated that he 'detested' Rawlings' politics.
The veteran journalist has also admitted his bias against the National Democratic Congress, stating that while he is ready to support the party if they have policies that will promote good governance and development, he disagrees with their political principles.
