A grief-stricken husband and father-of-four from Derby surprised many when he refused to take body of her dead wife to morgue or funeral home as expected.

Russell Davison, 50, kept and slept by the body of his diseased wife, Wendy, in the house for six whole days after she lost a 10-year-battle with cancer.

“There was nothing wrong with being in the room with her lifeless body. She looked beautiful as always. Radiant,” says Davison, adding that it gave him time to come to terms with her death.

Wendy was reportedly diagnosed with cancer way back in 2006. Her doctors were a bit surprised that she lived with the disease for 10 years.
