The ruling New Patriotic Party's former Constituency Organizer for Manhyia, Mr. Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta, has accused a former Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Kojo Bonsu, of being being the recent heckling of Gabby Otchere Darko in New York City.
Mr. Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta related that the ruling party was alerted to the possibility that such a demonstration would occur. He also stated that the ruling party was not surprised the demonstration took place.
The former NPP constituency executive went on to expressed disappointment at the behavior of Ghanaian residents in the United States.

"It is sad that Ghanaians resident in USA will do that to their own president and his entourage”, he he stressed.
Speaking on Accra based Okay FM, Mr. Ofori-Atta stated that the entire demonstration was fueled by members of the opposition National Democratic Congress, and masterminded by former Kumasi Mayor, Mr. Kojo Bonsu.

Furthermore, he hinted that there were audio recordings of plans to include NDC serial caller, Appiah Stadium, in the demonstration, but that Appiah Stadium was unable to participate due to being refused a US visa.
“Appiah Stadium was supposed to have gone to demonstrate with them but he was refused a visa. I know what I am talking about,” said Mr. Ofori-Atta.
