Montpellier end PSG winning streak in Neymar's absence

- Neymar-less PSG were frustrated by Montpellier

- The Ligue 1 table toppers played out a goalless draw against Montpellier away from home

- This will be the first time PSG failed to score and win a game this season in the Ligue 1

Paris St-Germain failed to make it seven wins out of seven as they were held to a goalless draw against Montpellier in the Ligue 1.

This will be the first time Unai Emery's men dropped points in Ligue 1 this season as they missed their talisman Neymar.

Neymar, who argued with Edinson Cavani over who should take a penalty in their last game with Lyon, picked up a minor foot injury during training.

While fellow summer signing Kylian Mbappe could not inspire his team. He however forced two saves from Benjamin Lecomte who was on goal for Montpellier.

PSG looked below their best in the entire duration of the game and can only blame themselves for dropping points.

Although they remain unbeaten and table toppers with 19 points, they are now just one point above champions Monaco, who beat Lille 4-0 on Friday September 22.
