President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo, has predicted of a woman ruling Ghana very soon.
Speaking to a crowd of participants at the 2017 Global Citizens Festival on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Nana Addo pledged his support to ensuring that gender equality is achieved in Ghana.
“Together we can achieve gender equality, empower women and also achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and one day, we are going to have the first female President of Ghana”, Nana Addo stated.
The Global Citizen Festival is part of a movement to end extreme poverty by contributing to charity acts on the website, including watching videos and signing petitions, fans can get free tickets to the festival.
Also, Nana Addo has pledged his government's resolved to put an end to the scourge of child marriage and also child slavery in the country. This promises forms part of government's plans to ensuring that young girls are saved from human traffickers.
