-Reggae musician and radio presenter, Blakk Rasta is set to return airwaves following a two-year absence
Controversial Reggae musician and presenter, Blakk Rasta, has hinted of his imminent return to the airwaves.
The presenter, in an interview with Showbiz, has promised his fans that they will hear him on the airwaves soon.
Though he failed to mention which channel they should tune in to, he was optimistic that he will return in about a month's time.
The 'Barack Obama' singer, a long-time presenter with Accra-based Hitz FM, left left the airwaves in July 2015.
"I have left Hitz Fm 103.9...Movement time thanks so much for the love. To Jah be the glory”, he posted on Twitter without given any reason.
His decision to leave came after he was hauled before Ghana's Parliament over claims he made on his Taxi Driver show that marijuana should be legalised because '80 percent of MPs smoked it".
This led to reports that he was forced out as he failed to substantiate his claim and only escaped punishment after apologizing profusely in parliament. A situation which is said to have embarrassed his employers.
Blakk Rasta has used his two-year absence to pursue academic laurels including a Ph.D. programme he is currently undertaking in South Africa but it looks like he cannot stay away from radio anymore.
