Coach Kwesi Appiah's decision to remove both Ayew boys may have been inspired by their decision to drop out of Ghana's most recent 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Congo, a game the Black Stars ended up winning 5-1.
This decision, as bold and well thought out as it may be, may end up causing a stir between fans and supporters. Especially since the brothers (and Andre in particular) are well liked, and have a substantial following with Ghana's football fans.
