-Bill Gates shows his mettle in Pidgin during an interview on BBC
World richest man is not only good at donating his money to good causes in Africa but he is also interested in integrating or at least speaking like one.
This he exhibited in a recent interview on BBC where he introduced himself in Pidgin and also answered viewers’ questions on the Bill Gates Foundation in Pidgin.
“My people for Africa,” he began, “how una dey? My name na Bill Gates”, he said in his introduction.
Pidgin language is mix of English language and a variety of local languages especially slang terms.
It is very popular in the English speaking countries in West and Central Africa.
