A heavy thunderstorm is approaching Ghana from neighbouring Togo, the Meteorological Agency has warned to public.
According to the Service, not all parts of the country will be affected, but some parts of the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Northern regions will be affected.
In a statement, the Meteorological Agency said areas such as Adenta, Sege, Battor, Yendi, Kumasi, Tamale, Winneba and Sakumono will all be affected.
The above areas, among others across the country, are expected to be hit by heavy rains, as a result of the projected thunderstorm.
Portions of the Meteo statement read: “A moderate thunderstorm and rain-bearing cloud system observed over the southern half of Togo is expected to move west to produce rains over the country accordingly."
The torrential rains usually leave large parts of Accra in terrifying floods. In 2016 Accra floods killed hundreds of people and destroyed thousands of property.
