The Ghana Tourism Authority, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has named 30 new Tourism ambassadors to help promote Ghana’s culture and heritage.
The ambassadors will spearhead the “See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana, Feel Ghana” campaign, which seeks to encourage Ghanaians to take pride in the beauty of Ghana.
From musicians, to actors, DJs, Radio presenters and other stakeholders in the arts industry, these ambassadors will help to promote growth in Ghana’s tourism sector, which will in turn boost economic development.
The Tourism ambassadors include Reggie N’ Bollie, DSP Kofi Sarpong, D Black, Sena Dagadu, Fancy Gaddam, Okyeame Kwame and Agya Koo among others.
The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku speaking at the unveiling event of the ambassadors, stated the goal was to collaborate with these influential individuals, who can promote the growth of Ghana’s tourism sector in and outside the country.
She added the campaign would also aim to present Ghana as tourist destination of choice, by developing and enhancing destination management goals.
