Kontihene admits poor grades caused his dismissal from Legon

Kontihene, one of Ghana’s finest hiplife musicians has revealed that poor academic performance prevented him from completing the University of Ghana, Legon.

He however adds that he eventually attended another university, put in his best and attained his degree.

He indicated that whilst a student at Legon, he travelled for a show. Upon his return, his academic performance was so poor that the University revoked his status as a student.

He goes on to say that notwithstanding his academic laurels, he enjoys music so much. He also admits that as he comes from a well-to-do family, he is quite comfortable in life.

He nevertheless cautions that peace of mind, not money makes one rich. He would therefore prefer his peace of mind, over money, any day.

Some of his popular songs are Aketesia, Asesa, Adjoa, M’adamfo pa, Seniwa and Effeh.
