What would you do in the House of the Lord if you knew no one was watching? Most people would pick the safest options with the idea that God, the all-present, would be watching their actions.
But it would seem that thought is not common with every church-goer in Ghana.
A video, which has since gone viral on social media, purported showed a churchgoer in Accra picking money from the offertory box during church service.
In the video, posted by one Kwame Agyemang with the caption, "Shameful person", the unidentified man was seen dipping his hand into one for the offertory boxes.
He withdraws his hand from the box and seemingly places something back into his other arms.
It is believed that the man committed the shameful act at a church in Accra over the weekend.
However, some users on social media have condemned the release of the said video.
According to one such user, "if the church had listened to him when he said he needed money for an apartment this wouldn't have happened".
Another user said, "I think the church that released this footage should bow their heads in shame".
