- Prophet Annan is challenging the decision of the University to sell excess forms
- He called on the relevant ministries to intervene in the matter
A man of God, Prophet Godwin Sarfo Annan, has vowed to institute legal action against the University of Cape Coast (UCC), over acts he believes to be fraudulent.
According to him, UCC knew its capacity for the admission of an extra 7000 students, yet went ahead to sell excess forms.
He is therefore calling on the university to refund the monies received from the sale of the excess forms to those who failed to secure admission. He went on to say that a failure to do so would result in a court action.
His reasoning, he stated, was borne out of the belief that an institution should not sell 5 million forms if it knows its maximum capacity is 500.
To him, the act is nothing short of “…cheating the defenseless, vulnerable and unemployed Ghanaian youth”. Again, he said, several other educational institutions are involved in such acts.
He therefore urged the ministry of Youth and Sports to intervene in the situation, as a matter of urgency
