NDC evicted from Accra office over rent

The Greater Accra Regional offices of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been closed following reports of non-payment of rent.


A report by Starrfmonline.com indicates that the landlord who owns the property where the party’s regional office is situated, stormed the place on Thursday to close it down.

The landlord is quoted as saying that the NDC owes him a “substantial” amount since they began using his property as their regional office.


According to him, he has tried to get his money from them but “they keep tossing me when they were in power so I can’t bear it anymore”.

The NDC regional office, which is near the Paloma Hotel, was reportedly invaded by the landlord, accompanied by some police men to carry out the eviction and close down the place, Starrfmonline reports.
