Kwame Asare Obeng, known in showbiz as rapper A Plus finds himself in the midst of another controversy, with the Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigations Department, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.
Following the rapper’s allegations of corruption against two presidential staffers, that were later debunked by the CID, this new issue supposedly points to the CID’s final word as a cover-up.
Earlier this week, a recorded phone call between the rapper and the CID deputy director seems to indicate that CID may have been flawed in their final report of their probe into A Plus' allegations against the two deputy chiefs of staff.
However, in a statement released by CID director, the recording has been doctored by the rapper, who had apparently disagreed with their findings.
As the public opinion on the issue takes different turns, another showbiz personality has waded into the conversation.
Nana Asiama Hanson, popularly known as music producer Bulldog has urged A Plus to not risk his life for the sake of political affiliations.
In a Facebook post, the Bullhaus Entertainment CEO stated that while he admired A Plus for his outspoken nature on social issues, he believes the rapper should not put life or that of his family’s at risk for the ‘sake of Ghana’.
Meanwhile A Plus has denied making or doctoring the recording.
