- Antonio Conte has said Alvaro Morata's injury is not a serious one
- The Spaniard was forced to leave the pitch against Manchester City
- Morata has been superb for Chelsea this season since joining them
Chelsea gaffer Antonio Conte has provided an encouraging update on Spanish striker Alvaro Morata after being forced to take him out of their tie against Manchester City due to injury.
The Blues were forced to play over an hour without their top scorer Morata who appeared to suffer a hamstring problem against City in the first half.
Morata has been superb for Chelsea this season since replacing Spanish star Diego Costa who has moved to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea fans are now scared that the former Real Madrid forward could be out of action for weeks, but Antonio Conte has assured the Blues fans that Morata's injury is not serious.
‘'It’s a muscular problem and I don’t think it’s serious because he stopped before it could become serious.
“I prefer to stop otherwise I risk having a bad injury, and I think Morata will be available soon in our games,'' the former Juventus boss explained.
