Famous Ghanaian Gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has disclosed that God directed her to compose and release a campaign song in support of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2012.
According to her, God’s message to her was so clear that she didn’t have any option but to obey the voice of God as a messenger.
Speaking on an Accra-based Rainbow radio, the Evangelist said she would have done similar thing with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), if God had directed her at the time.
The gospel songstress in 2012 composed ‘Wo Na Ma Yi Wo’ track to push the-then candidate Akufo-Addo’s campaign but lost to the NDC’s candidate Mills at the time.
The singer said though she had strong confidence in Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP over his opponent, her song was purely spiritual without any political inducement or motivation.
Diana Asamoah added that she believes that President Akufo-Addo administration will deliver and give hope to the poorest of the poor in Ghanaian society.
The musician since 2012 has been seen on various NPP campaign platforms. She was recently nominated as tourism ambassador among other Ghanaian musicians by the Tourism Ministry.
