We saw no need to report Stonebwoy’s wife attack to the police - Management

- Zylofon Media, managers of dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has stated it is not important to report the weekend's incident to police

- Stonebwoy and his wife were allegedly injured in a knife attack just moments before he took to the stage to perform at a concert

The record label currently managing Ghanaian dancehall act, Stonebwoy, have disclosed that they are not interested in reporting the alleged knife attack on the artiste's wife to the police.


According to Zylofon Media, their priority lies with the safety of their act, rather than taking the case to the police for investigations to begin.

Last Saturday, reports emerged that unknown assailants cut a knife through the tent of Stonebwoy in an attempt to stab him while he prepared to perform at the 'Ashaiman to the World’ concert, which he headlined.

However, the knife rather ended up stabbing his wife, Louisa Satekla, on the back, with the artiste himself later confirming after the show that his spouse had to be rushed to the hospital following the incident.


Messages of support have poured in from all sectors, with some of his has particularly calling on him to report the issue to the police in order for the culprits to be arrested.


However, responding to the calls, PRO for Zylofon media (the record label Stonebwoy is signed onto) Sammy Baah, popularly known as Sammy Flex, has revealed that management of the artiste do not intend to pursue the case any further.


Speaking on Hitz FM, he said the safety of the artiste is all that matters to his outfit, adding that steps have already been taken to make sure that such incidents do not occur during subsequent concerts.

Sammy Flex continued: “The safety of the lady is really important and we needed to take care of her first. If we report to the police, what will be the reason behind it? Is it to arrest the culprit or to sound a caution?"


He further noted that such incidents are not new to the music industry, while also rejecting claims that the attack was a case of attempted murder.
