Ghana's boxing legend, Azumah Nelson has been honoured by the World Boxing Council (WBC) at a ceremony in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.
Nelson, popularly referred to as Professor Zoom Zoom, received a plaque of honour for his enviable achievement in boxing.
Having held the WBC featherweight title once and the WBC super featherweight title twice, he is deemed as the biggest boxing export from Ghana and even Africa.
He holds a record of 39 wins out of 47 fights, 28 of the wins coming by way of knockouts, 2 draws and just 6 losses
The 59-year-old was not the only former boxer awarded on the night, with former American heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield, 12-time two weight champion Bernard Hopkins, and Soviet-born Australian Kostya Tszyu, who won two light welterweight titles in his career, also receiving honours.
