Plans are far advanced for the provision of subscribed access to WiFi at all terminals of the Kotoka International Airport.

This follows a proposal that management of the airport presented to interested parties who will be able to install, operate, manage and maintain a reliable Wifi network bases on international standards.

In recent times, the Kotoka International Airport does not come close whenever it comes to international practise where almost every airport in the world is providing either free and unlimited WiFi access to all travellers, or at least a mix of complimentary and paid access.

What this means is that in the next few days of months, you will be able to enjoy free access to the internet at the various terminals of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) just like you do on other international airports.

The Kotoka International Airport remains the only international airport in Ghana but continue to face some infrastructural challenge at its terminals. This development saw the former president, John Dramani Mahama renovate the 2nd terminal of the airport.

Meanwhile, the minister for aviation, Cecilia Dapaah has hinted of government’s resolve to ensuring that all airports in the country are fashioned out to meet international standards and make Ghanaians proud.

According to her, Ghana is also putting in place drastic measures to revive the Ghana Airways – a national airline which she believes would create more jobs and make the aviation industry competitive.
