The German’s representatives are believed to have raised United’s interest in a recent meeting with the Arsenal heirachy and the Red Devils are confident of agreeing a deal with the play-maker to move to Old Trafford, according to the Independent.
The Red Devils spent £145m last summer on Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic but missed out on Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. Mourinho consistently spoke about his determination to sign a creative player and Ozil could fit the bill.
