A Brazilian mother-of-three has given birth to a very heavy baby weighing a whopping 5.72kg.
Maira Trevisan welcomed her baby daughter Gabrielly on September 19 at the Cascavel University Hospital in Parana, Brazil.
Her daughter is the heaviest baby born at the hospital in 27 years.
In an interview, 36-year-old Maira said she didn't expect Gabrielly to be so heavy.
She said: "It was a bit of a shock and surprisingly uncomfortable the first day I took her into my arms. I didn't expect her to be so heavy and so long. But I'm now getting used to her."
Gabrielly also measures a surprising 54cm and is nearly twice as heavy as the average newborn baby.
Due to her size, she was born with an enlarged heart and had to be placed in an incubator for eight days as doctors monitored her breathing.
She and her mother were finally discharged on September 28.
