He added that funds available would be used for activities geared at enhancing Ghana’s growth agenda.

He revealed that the chief concern of Ghanaians has always been the nature of roads.

He therefore wondered the basis upon which the National Democratic Congress (NDC) sought to project roads as one aspect of development they had paid attention to.

He also bemoaned the state of Ghana’s railway system, which, he said, had been left to deteriorate overtime.

He consequently gave the assurance that remedial measures would be implemented to restore the system to its former glory.

President Akufo-Addo stated that “I have said, and will continue to say, we are not a poor nation. Ghanaians are not a poor people, our nation is not a poor nation.

All it needs is good leadership, and the prosperity that God has given to us will come out for all our people to benefit.

“I need the support of all of you, whether you voted for me or did not, whether you have supported my party or have not supported my party.

In the period of my mandate, I will need your support so that together we can rebuild Ghana and let the Black Star shine and shine again.”
