This, it has been revealed, is largely dependent on what happens between 7th and 9th October 2017.
The first steps is a hope for a draw between Congo and Egypt.
Ghana would then have to win its games against Uganda and Egypt. Ghana’s Black Stars clash with the Cranes of Uganda on Saturday 7th October in Kampala.
If wishes are translated into reality, Egypt would end up with 11 points, Uganda with 8 points, Ghana also with 8 points and Congo with 2 points.
The next step would be the need for a win over Egypt.
An emphatic win would stimulate the “head-to-head’ rule, and consequently secure a place for them in the Russia 2018 tournament.
Ghana previously lost by two goals to Egypt in the first encounter.
If the Black Stars secure that win, whilst Uganda draws with Congo, Ghana would end up with 11 points, Egypt, also with 11 points, Uganda with 9 points and Congo with 3 points.
